Combining Rustic & Modern in a Harbor Springs Remodel

The owners of this gorgeous Harbor Springs home have an entirely new first floor, including the front entrance, kitchen, dining room, and great room. The homeowners were particularly excited to relocate the fireplace and chimney and convert the gas fireplace to wood burning. Of course, once the chimney was removed, we had to patch the home’s tongue-and-groove ceiling. Our talented team was able to seamlessly blend the repair with the original to maintain the integrity and charm of the feature.

This remodel also included a new and strikingly modern kitchen, with all-white cabinets contrasting the black island and slate gray backsplash. The white and dark theme is repeated throughout the first floor, with white walls and gorgeous, dark hardwood flooring. A pop of green appears on the living wall rack system — a fantastic way to bring the joys of gardening and greenery inside.
