Cheboygan Cottage Kitchen Upgrade

These homeowners had fantastic views from their lakeside cottage, but inside, their kitchen was dated and cramped. They contacted us to open up their space so they could enjoy the lake views while preparing meals. They also emphasized preserving the cottage’s charm and character while updating its look.

Removing the wall separating the kitchen from the living room created the open concept layout and captured the lake views they desired. Since the new open-plan space created the need for cohesion, the ceiling was replaced with new pine panels carefully painted to match the rest of the home. This family can easily cook and visit together comfortably around their beautiful new island, and the plentiful storage it provides will make it easy to keep the kitchen organized and clutter-free.
